Trust starts before the keys change hands.

We check the people, vehicles and records behind each booking. Owner and renter approval is recorded separately, and a visible vehicle is not treated as verified until the required checks are complete.

Before a vehicle goes live

  3. 03Payout beneficiary name matching the registered owner.
  4. 04Insurer confirmation that the vehicle is covered for commercial self-drive hire.
  5. 05Catalogue trim selection with locked specifications, so core details are not free-typed.
  6. 06Eight in-app photo angles passing plate, colour and human review.

Renter KYC

One driver profile, before the first booking.

Renters may browse freely, then complete a driver profile once before their first booking. The baseline includes a phone number, government identity, face photo and driving licence. High-value vehicles can require proportionate operational review, but the same identity package is not repeatedly requested at checkout. Kweli will use provider assertions where available, minimise raw data and apply retention rules and human review before launch.
